The Scottish Government offers Scottish students a ’plus one’ year, where fees are paid for an additional year under certain circumstances. Scottish students may be able to use this to fund an intercalated Bachelor’s (eg BSc) degree if they have not already used their ’plus one’ funding.

These fellowships are jointly funded by CSO, the Scottish Government Health Directorates and Scottish Universities. The application process for this scheme is administered by the Academy of Medical Sciences who assist an international selection panel with peer review and provide independent mentorship to those appointed.
